During the masterclass, Patricia will guide students through her hand-building processes, including texturing, stretching, and carving, which she uses to create her signature vessels, jars, and bowls.

Patricia Shone is a distinguished ceramicist whose work reflects the rugged beauty of her surroundings on the Isle of Skye in Scotland.
Your Course
During your masterclass, Patricia will guide you through her hand-building processes, including texturing, stretching, and carving, which she uses to create her signature vessels, jars, and bowls.
You’ll learn about her unique firing methods, such as raku, wood firing, and saggar firing, each adding distinctive textures and earthy tones to the ceramic pieces. Through hands-on practice, you’ll experiment with a variety of methods to achieve different surface finishes.
Alongside technical skills, the course emphasises how to draw inspiration from the environment and channel it into creative expression. This masterclass is ideal for anyone seeking to refine their techniques or expand their artistic vision.
