Stephen’s work is driven by an obsession with clay and its versatility. He creates ceramic forms and vessels that are hand-built and Raku fired, a process that involves removing pieces from the kiln at high temperatures and allowing them to cool rapidly, often in combustible materials. This technique results in surfaces that evoke the natural textures of rock and earth, giving his vessels a grounded, timeless quality.
